Happy Halloween

We all came down with colds this year right in time for all of the fun Halloween activities. We still managed to go trick-or-treating 3 times, and got way too much candy. Their favorite treat seems to be the suckers... it's nice they leave all of the chocolate for their parents! Jason did so great this year. He rang the door bells himself, and could finally say "trick or treat." They both really enjoyed every part of it.

Trick-or-treating on Halloween! It was pretty cold out, and since we had been sick, we didn't stay out long. Their buckets still managed to get filled up though.

More trick-or-treating... this was Lexie's first year doing it!

Reaping the rewards of trick-or-treating

He really liked being able to induldge!

Earlier in the week Daddy took these guys to trick-or-treat at the mall!

I was sad to miss out on the fun, but I was in the midst of the worst of my cold. We also did a session of trick-or-treating with some friends the day before Halloween. We drove around from house to house. We all went for the first hour, and then Lexie and I came home for our turn to hand out candy, while Jason and Mike kept going.

Fall Fun

It's been so nice out lately and we haven't been able to take advantage of it due to some colds going around, and regular contractions a little too early. Tonight we ran outside to jump in the leaves just before a storm rolled in. So glad we did... what fun!

33 weeks tomorrow! I've been having contractions every 2 minutes for 2 days now... I sure hope this baby stays in for a few more weeks... I'm not done cooking it yet!

We did hit up some fun activities at the mall this week, before all of the chaos. Luckily we got there early, because it became a madhouse. We got to decorate these pumpkins, and made picture frames, and necklaces too. We ate candy and had baloon animals made. Jason got his face painted again, and bounced in a bounce house. We also got to see a live reptile show!

Family/ Maternity Photos

I found a REALLY great deal on pictures.. so even though we weren't planning on getting them- they turned out pretty well. Lexie did fall and bruise her forehead the day before, and Jason cut his open pretty badly somehow, but I still love how they turned out. These are our ver first "family" shots and the first (and last) maternity ones too!

Pumpkin Carving

This weekend we carved our pumpkins. Grandma came over to help too! Jason refused to help last year, but this year was coaxed into it! He really didn't wantto reach in, once he saw the inside, but he hesitantly did it. Grandma helped him carve out the face he drew too. I just love this time of year!

Jason's is on the left... He drew his face, and asked for a rectangle mouth and nose! Mike's is in the middle. He always chooses tall thin pumpkins. He was going for an angry look. That leaves mine on the right. It doesn't have a nose... I was getting tired!

After carving pumpkins, the kids made sticker pictures with Grandma.

Before I forget...

This happened awhile ago, but we were just laughing about it, and I don't want to forget. One morning we were all sitting at the table about to have breakfast. I don't remember exactly what we were having, but sometimes we have different things. Jason chose what he wanted, and we were about to eat. Mike came to the table with his breakfast, something different. Jason calmly, and very seriously slid his plate over to Mike, and said "Me switching." He said it so confidently, like it was a totally normal thing to do. Jason you are so funny!

Ironic

This little kitty was purchased in NYC. The kids each got to choose one toy at the massive Toys R Us in Times Square, and Jason helped Lexie pick this kitten. It turns out this cat was made right here in Cheektowaga! We both traveled all they way to NYC to find each other!

Jason's NAME

Jason can write his name.... Here it is!!!! His very first attempt. Yes it is backwards! We were working on his letter A, when he just found an A I wrote, and spoke the letters outloud as he wrote the J, S, O and N around it. Backwards on paper, but correctly outloud! He taught himself the S and N. What a BIG boy! We are so proud of you Jason.

This rasberry Crystal Lite was soooo good... and to think I thought I hated anything rasberry. One of the gifts included dark chocolates filled with rasberry, which also turned out to be my new favorite!!!

Kandis made this cute plant! I don't have a picture with her, but thanks for everything Kandis!

Natalie, Me and Melissa... these guys were also co-planners!

The GREAT Pumpkin Farm

What a day! This was Jason's 4th year at the Great Pumpkin Farm! He was able to do so much this year. This was Lexie's first time, and she had a blast too. You may think there are a ton of pics below, but lots were cut out. On top of all the things seen below, we also went on a hayride, did a hay maze, ate snow cones, popcorn, and cookies, played "I Got It," made Halloween necklaces, played with petting zoo animals (Lexie's favorite), played on super fast slides, and even got Jay's face painted for the first time!

Jason entered a pie eating contest! He sat up on stage with all of the other kids, and started when they said. They could not use their hands! What a big boy he is! He won a pumpkin necklace for being a contestant.

He also rode on a pony for the first time. He overcame so many fears this summer!

Lexie really liked playing on this wooden train.

Jason riding on a cow train...

It was funny to watch the kids on this bumpy ride. Jason held onto his hat sideways the whole time... so darn cute!

The "Boo Barn." Their version of a haunted house- Jason isn't in to scary, but Lexie sure is!

My babies picking pumpkins.

Lexie tried to sneak Jason's sucker away while he wasn't looking!

We each choose a large pumpkin to carve (in the wheel barrel), and Grandma treated these guys each to a painted pumpkin!

My favorite boys!

After a LONG day at the farm we headed home, and spotted a local fire company giving fire truck rides, and other activities for the kids. We had to stop, especially since Jason choose to be a fire fighter for Halloween.

We all got to ride on a real fire truck, sirens and all twice!!! What fun! This stop was just the icing on the cake.
