Melissa's Baby Girl

My friend Melissa is having her first little girl (after 2 boys). I was lucky eniugh to get to help plan and host her shower!
We haven't done anything to our 80's decorated basement yet, so the cute pink decorations could only go so far, but I think it turned out very cute. Here are Kandis, Melissa, and Natalie. Kandis and Natalie also planned and hosted with me! Hope you had a good time Melis!

The food and decorations! I wanted to decorate with things that Melissa could use afterward, hence the onsies and hair flowers on the wall, and the food was "sweet" themed. Lots of candy, and sweet rolls, and pink sweet dip for the fruit ect.

My second attempt at using a piping bag... not too bad! Natalie made these cute toppers!

Kandis made these adorable dress napkins!

Our friends are so talented, I think baby Angela has all of the trendiest stuff waiting for her now! So excited to meet her!

Lately

Can this little girl possibly get any cuter?

We had fun making turkeys, and reading stories about thanksgiving at the mall.

15 months

Lexie had her 15 month check up today!

Weight: 24 lbs 11.5 oz (75th%)
She lost 1/2 of an oz since her last visit 3 months ago

Height: 34 inches (>97th%)
She grew 2 inches in 3 months

It's been a rough couple of weeks for the little one. We all went through a bad round of colds the last week of October, and then she started to get her molars. Now she seems to have another cold, on top of the teething pain, and had 2 shots today! Poor little girl!

Little Lexie

So, for the past week or so, my little Lexie has been pretty difficult. She wakes up at night screaming, seemingly for no reason. She demands to be held all of the time. She refuses to ride in a shopping cart or stroller, and even screams in restaurants, and the car. We thought this new behavior was just a result of her being so spoiled, and have been trying to break these habits by letting her cry it out. Last night at her 2am wakeup call I discovered her 1st molar halfway through in her bottom gums! I feel (felt) so terrible. My poor little princess hasn't been being bratty, she's been in pain! What a terrible Mom I feel like... I should have known! Sorry Lexie!

Celebrating New Baby!

My sister-in-law, Amy, was so nice to get some of Mike's family together to celebrate "New Baby." Here we are enjoying our very yummy lunch at Olive Garden, and of course I was overly spoiled with such great baby things!

This cake tasted so good! Amy and Tori made it together! The little teddy bears, and blocks and such were homemade chocolates! The top layer was yellow cake with lemon filling, and the bottom was chocolate with strawberry filling. So good!

Me and my friend Tara!
