Christmas

Christmas was perfect! Jason woke up at 6am and was afraid to get out of bed until we told him it was okay. We had a great morning opening presents, and then headed over to Grandma's house for brunch with family and even more gifts. I think it's fair to say my kids got way too much this year, and it's going to take some time to "unspoil" them ;-P

CPA

Well, right before we had baby Cole, Mike took his last CPA exam. We found out last week that he passed! He passed all four on his first try! Now he just has to complete the work experience requirement, and he will be a CPA! He's going to take a 3 credit course this winter to shorten that requirement, and should be a CPA this year! We are so happy to be through with the tests, and SO proud of Mike! It has been so nice to have him around again at night!

Christmas Fun!

Last week Mike's sister Laura came to visit! We had a little get together at their Mom's house, went out for dinner, had some playdates here, and exchanged gifts! The kids loved their new toys from their Aunts (Amy too).It was pretty fitting that Jason had on a Thomas the train shirt over his PJs the day he got a new train. We also made gingerbread houses with some friends last weekend. It was a lot of fun, especially because they also have a new baby and we basically spent the entire day nursing (her way more than me). Jason and Lexie are at such perfect ages to do all of these fun holiday activities! The picture at the end is of Cole at almost 3 weeks old (after building the candy houses) He was wearing his new dinosaur outfit from his Grandparents in NC (we were surprised with a big box of clothes (and a train table))!

Breakfast with Santa

We got to go to "Breakfast with Santa" this year thanks to Mike's Mom coming along to help me with the kids. It was only 2 weeks after I had the baby, so the help was much needed. The weather was pretty bad this day, which actually made for a nice, not overly crowded event! The kids ate french toast sticks, got balloon candycanes, painted tattoos, free carosel rides, and even got to talk to Santa too! Colden has been terrific (we're probably in the sleepy newborn phase still), but everytime we have left the house with him, he has slept the entire time. These kids really make the holidays so much fun!!

Christmas Cookies

We made a few different types of Christmas cookies this year to drop off to a few friends and family. It provied a few nights worth of fun and cheerfulness for all of us. We listened to Christmas music and had fun sampling too. I found some very kid friendly recipes that were a big hit. We made sugar cookie cutouts, mint sugar cookies, peanutbutter reindeer, and gingerbread men.

The 4 of us that weren't sleeping!

Decorating!

Making peanut butter reindeer cookies. This one was great for Jason. He madethem all by himself.

Cole slept here in his chair most of the time, but I'm sure he enjoyed it anyway.

Our Babies

Lexie has loved to hold Colden since she met him. Jason loves the baby, but would absolutely not hold him. He prefers to sit next to him and talk and what not. The other day, out of the blue Jason asked to hold Colden... ever since he won't put him down. It's just the most precious thing ever, how much they love eachother all ready. We are so proud of our babies.

We didn't make them sit this way... they both asked to! This just melts our hearts, and makes us so proud!

Jason was telling Mike to stop flashing the camera because Colden didn't like it! How sweet he is. When Cole would cry, Jason would be so calm and just tell him "Don't worry Colden, I'm here. It's me Jason."
