Family Pics Spring 2012

Circus

We took Jason and Lexie to the circus this past Thursday! I found another good deal via one of the Groupon type sites, and some friends brought their kids too.  It was a really long show, and started at 7pm so we only stayed a little over an hour.  We saw a cool trapeeze act, tigers jumping through fire, some kind- of lame clown acts, and a girl doing tricks while standing on the back of a running horse.  Pretty neat, especially for the kids.

Still experimenting with baking.  I made these cupcakes for a Jewelry party that I hosted on Friday.

These are Chocolate banana cake with chocolate ganache and creamcheese buttercream frosting!

I really liked the Butterfinger last time so here they are again!

St Patrick's Day

We celebrated on Thursday because that's when Jason's class celebrated.  At home we had rainbow pancakes, sausage, and green milk for breakfast.  For lunch we had Lucky Charms and fruit.  In school a leprechaun made a big mess in Jason's classroom and the kids cleaned it up.  They also made little hats and had a small party!

March Madness

March has been so much fun!  We have been keeping super busy, and having a lot of great days.  Here is a day in the life (a busy day)...

• 5am Gym
• Grocery shopping
• St Patrick's Day breakfast (rainbow pancakes, sausage & green milk)
• Get Jason ready for school, and take him
• 9 am Make cupcakes with Lexie while Cole naps
• Make and pack a lunch with Lexie
• 11:15 Pick up Jason and head to the playground for a picnic
• 12:30 Naptime :-)
• Cleaning
• Errands
• Pick up dinner at Chipotle and eat @ work with Mike
• Some more playground time
• Baths
• Storytme
• Bedtime

I tried out 2 new cupcake recipes this weekend! Next time I'll be sure to have the right frosting tips I need!
