Colden's 1st Birthday Party!

I'd say Cole had a fantastic time at his first ever birthday extravaganza!  He loved having everyone here to give him all of their attention.  He loved playing with all of the kids and aunts and uncles.  When we sang to him, he was super cute and smiley, and kept shaking his head yes!  "Yes sing to me." My friend Kim made the most delicious raspberry chocolate cupcakes, and all of the kids helped Coley open his gifts! I always get the kids their own cake to dig into, but Tops messed up and gave me too big of a cake so Cole had to settle for a giant slice! We are so thankful for everyone that came and very glad that some of our NC family got to be here too!

Thanksgiving

This year we hosted Thanksgiving at our house. Mike's Dad, Step- mom and brother and sister drove up from NC, and his Mom and sisters that live here also joined us.  We had so much food.  I know everyone says that, but we literally had 5 different breads, and 3 different potatoes, among many other things.  So thankful for leftovers! In the few short days that family was in town we went out to dinner, played games, had 2 parties, did lots of visiting, and ate, ate ate. I really wish I had some pictures to document the weekend, but it was fun nonetheless!

We had a little time between hosting Thanksgiving 2 days ago , and Cole's birthday party today, for a haircut.  He was a little scared but sat perfectly still.  How handsome is this little guy?!

I'm pretty happy with these.  It's not easy getting a great pic with 5 people, 3 that are so little! The family ones probably all look the same to the outside world, but I included so many because I of course like different people in different pics. 

Happy Anniversary

We got to spend our first ever night away, the weekend before our anniversary.  We had this great Salvatore's dinner and jacuzzi suite package.  Unfortunately, my eye had a bad, and painful infection, which kind of put a damper on the trip.  We decided to go anyway since we had already cancelled once. Dinner was great, and the chocolate dipped sttawberries in our room was definotely a highlight for me.  The bed was so hard, and the people in the hall so noisey that I didn't get to sleep at all. Ir was nice to get some relaxing time with my husband though.  We could actually hear eachother talk!

On our actual anniverary we all went to dinner with Grandma and Aunt Amy.  That night we had chocolate lava cake and icecreram after dinner!  I love splurging for dessert!

I am so glad that I married my best friend.  That's the way to go!  You are the absolute best husand and father ever!  I love our life!  Happy Anniversary!
