February Break

Jason had the week off from school, so I tried to think up some fun things to do.  We played board games, went to playgroup, the mall playplace, and Explore and More Children's Museum (pics below).  We went to the gym a couple times, and even a late night (8pm) trip to Mighty Taco! We even squeezed in a new couch for the basement (wasn't easy).  It was a fun week!

Lexie loving the wooden animals.

Lexie not sharing said wooden animals!

Jason climbing into a cave!

I love when these 3 play together!  There is nothing I enjoy more!

Argh Matey!  Maybe she got a train and a pirate ship mixed up!

Our Valentines

We had a great Valentine's week!  I am not old fashioned when it comes to holidays.  I'm not all about waiting.  In fact I think it is very overwhelming when we do it all on one day, and much more fun to spread out the festivities.

My 1st born Valentine!  Isn't he handsome?  He wants to wear a tie everyday now.  He says that he's going to work.  I am going to have to buy him more dress shirts because his ties look a little silly on his tee shirts!  This was Valentine's Day and he was headed to his class party. The flowers in the background are from my sweatheart!

We made these yummy cookies for his class to share!

On the day before Valentine's Day, we exchanged Valentines with Aunt Amy.  Colden took it upon himself to dig through her purse and fiddled with her IPOD!  He loves music, and dances so cute!

It was difficult to get a picture of him with the IPOD because he is such a Ham and keeps posing for the camera!  LOVE HIM to pieces!

We saved some of the treats from Grandma for the day after Valentine's day.  Here is my sweet little girl with her giant cookie! The bruise on her forhead is the remnents of a giant gooseegg that she acquired at the gym playplace

Oh how I love her sweet little personality!  So happy!

We also spent an afternoon making the cookies and Valentines for everyone.  Jason and Lexie made cards all by themselves, and Jason gave out fun dip Valentines at school!  He had a lot of fun playing mailman and delivering them to his friends' "mailboxes."  For Valentines dinner we had some friends over for homemade pizza and bruchetta while Mike worked late (tax season afterall).

PBS Kidsfest

Last weekend we got to go to the PBS Kidfest for the 1st time.  We ended up going this year because we won the tickets!  The kids got to meet a lot of the characters that they love (no cable here, so they really like these PBS guys).  There was also a small obstical course set up, story times, train tables, inflatable basketball, some adoptable kittens and such from the SPCA, facepainting, and a TV camera set up so the kids could see themselves superimposed into their favorite shows. They each got to choose a new book to take home too, along with a reusable Wegmans goody bag!  It was crowded but a fun way to spend an afternoon! We didn't do everything they had to offer but the kids loved it anyway!

Big Fun

This past weekend we had so much fun!  I FORGOT my camera everywhere we went.  It's so unfortunate because the kids looked so cute all weekend.

First on Friday, the kids and I met Amy at the mall and shopped for clothes a bit, and then had frozen yogurt and some playtime! Later that night I got to go out to the Bandits (lax) game with some friends!

On Saturday we took the kids rollerskating for the 1st time!  Once again I found a great Groupon and we gave it a try.  This time my Dad, Aunt and brother and sister joined us. My siblings had also never been! It was a hit.  The kids skated the entire time and absolutely loved it! I really wish I had pictures! Lexie followed Grandpa around the whole night, and Colden was content exploring.

On Sunday we headed out to Clarence Winterfest with Grandma and Aunt Amy.  We have had a very mild winter, but it was actually pretty cold this day.  First we got to meet and pet some animals.  The kids loved it.  There was a donkey, ducks, goats, chickens, a pony and the fluffiest white bunny ever- all in the open for the petting! Then we went in a building for some hot chocolate and treats before we faced the cold once again.  We saw some husky sled dogs and the taste tested a ton of chili and chowder.  Yum! Then we went on a tractor ride and froze our bottoms off!  The kids got to take a turn down the slide at the playground before we headed home!  I wish I had pics of my cuties all bundled up!

The kids were really good all weekend... well they could have been better during the clothes shopping phase, but in all it was a fantastic weekend!
