4th of July

We had a very busy 4th this year. First we headed down to a family member's cottage in Angola for a lunch BBQ. It wasn't very warm, and was VERY windy, but Jason hit the beach anyway. He and Mike got to fly his new kite right before he fell into the lake! Then Jason got to go to his friend Spencer's birthday celebration (Jason's first party). Afterwards we headed to a huge park for a church BBQ. We had such a fun day, and got to spend all day with great friends and family.

Here is my little Hammy a few minutes before he went tumbling into the cold lake. He had such a cute "4th of July" outfit on under this sweatshirt, but unfortunately it didn't make it on film (mostly because it was soaked and he had to change).

Jason actually wasn't afraid of the swings! He had a great time playing with his Daddy and some friends.

We did stay out a little too late. Here is Jason almost 2 hours past bedtime... being Hammy of course! ...We did pay for keeping him out too late later, and the next day :-(
